Fitch может снизить рейтинги крупнейших банков Кипра

Рейтинговое агентство Fitch может понизить рейтинги крупнейших банков Кипра. Рейтинги Bank of Cyprus, Cyprus Popular Bank и Hellenic Bank помещены в список на пересмотр с возможным понижением.

В субботу Евросоюз и МВФ приняли решение предоставить Кипру финансовую помощь размером в 10 млрд евро для спасения государства от банкротства. Значительная часть средств будет покрыта за счет разового сбора с вкладчиков местных банков. Деньги будут списаны со счетов, как только банки возобновят свою работу. Депозиты более 100 тыс. евро облагаются налогом в 9,9%, меньшей суммы – в 6,75%.

"Пересмотр рейтингов банков будет завершен после решения правительства страны по чрезвычайным мерам. Голосование парламента Кипра намечено на вечер вторника", - отмечают в Fitch.

В настоящий момент долгосрочные и краткосрочные рейтинги дефолта эмитента Bank of Cyprus, Cyprus Popular Bank и Hellenic Bank находятся на уровне "В".

Если парламент Кипра одобрит введение однократного налога, то Fitch будет рассматривать ситуацию как ограниченный дефолт, что повлечет за собой снижение рейтингов этих банков до "RD".
